A little girl lives alone with her mother in a peaceful village, until one day a huge rock blocks all the houses. The villagers try in vain to move it, until they discover that it is actually a giant sleeping creature. At nightfall, the little girl confronts this clumsy giant who accidentally destroyed her home. Convinced she is dealing with a monster, she tells him to leave, not knowing he is actually a lost little boy.
Britt Raes was born in 1986 in Belgium and lives in Ghent. She teaches animation at the KASK School of Arts, where she graduated in 2011. Since then, her professional career has combined illustration and animation, as she works on both her own projects and commissioned work. In 2016, she completed her first short film, Catherine. The film was selected at over 200 festivals worldwide and won prestigious awards. In 2022, she completed the short film Luce et le Rocher, which she also plans to adapt into an illustrated book.
