Ellie has a birthday to  celebrate. It’s been a year since her partner Tim lost his life during the  last eruption of Mount Orizabachu. A strange birthday, but a birthday  nonetheless! So Ellie decides to celebrate it with her friend Oscar, who  convinces her to drink soup at the summit of the volcano, as an absurd  offering and a gesture of reconciliation with the giant sleeping monster.
