A daring young carrot leaves the vegetable garden despite warnings from her fellow veggies, who are all awaiting the day of the soup—their ultimate fate. Curious about the world, she explores her surroundings and meets various animals who reveal the laws of nature to her. Through these adventures, she discovers the food chain and the cycle of life. Enriched by these experiences, she returns to her kind, determined to share what she has learned.
Aline is a Belgian animation filmmaker who graduated with a master’s degree from La Cambre in Brussels in 2012. During her studies, she created various short films in stop-motion and 2D, including L'ouroboros, L'ourson et le caneton, and Tempus Fugitus. She developed a particular love for materiality, which is evident in her stop-motion and cut-paper animations. In 2015, she co-directed the short film Le renard minuscule with Sylwia Szkiladz as part of a residency at Folimage Studio. The film won several awards and was screened at over 80 festivals worldwide. Since then, she has worked on various productions, including the cut-paper short film Le petit bonhomme de poche and animated series such as Petit Poilu and Pandas dans la brume. She continues to develop her personal work and write new film projects.
